Atom- The Product of Cosmic Consciousness

Recipient of National Stree Shakti Award from Hon'ble President of India
ABOUT ARTIST SONIKA AGARWAL
My art journey over 17 years took place while walking on paths where no one has walked before, since paths are made by walking. One has not adopted any traditional school of thought or any other ism. My journey has been blessed with International and National exposure in art exhibitions and art residencies by visiting and hosting Artists from ASEAN countries, SAARC countries, South Africa, Germany, China, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The preferred medium to express myself on is oil and acrylic colors on canvas, charcoal, water colors on paper and art installations.
My crowning glory has been to receive the National Award from the President of India. My studio practise has been dedicated to looking inwards to evolve my art techniques in paintings which are not intimidated by the past, has a universal language and have a new story to tell.

ABOUT RADIANCE OF COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS
Would any soothsayer of Art predict that "Radiance of Cosmic Consciousness- Who Am I to Who I Am" would someday feature as a milestone in the history of Art? Would they take their artistic license to suggest that Mona Lisa's eyes would follow these artworks at the Louvre, like they do at all visitors with her mysterious smile of "Cosmic Consciousness." This remains an artist's fantasy, the drive behind this body of work.
This practice of 7 years culminated in a series ‘Radiance of Cosmic Consciousness, these mystical paintings take you on a spiritual journey from "Who Am I to Who I Am." The paintings have a universal language, a new story to tell with an innovative technique not intimidated by the past. For the first time see a painting in light and in the dark, as they glow in the dark illuminating the vibration of cosmic motor and cound of the cosmic drum.
The series was presented as a Solo Exhibition by Dhoomimal Gallery (Estb.1936) on 6th January,2023 at Visual Art Gallery, IHC, Delhi. Artrise Auction launched my solo show with special effects in dark room on 12th September,2023 at Dhoomimal Art Gallery continuing till 18th November.

ART RESIDENCIES

17 years of hands-on experience of attending & holding art exhibitions, art camps in India & abroad, visiting artists studio helped me evolve as a self-trained artist. This helped my individual style and technique to develop which is not referential to the past.
